| Holds an all-time record of 590-211 (.737) in 25 seasons as a head coach after an outstanding playing career at West Virginia.
Was the head coach at Walsh College (1980-83), Akron (1984-1989), Cincinnati (1989-2005) and Kansas State (2006-07).
Entering the 2007-08 season, Huggins is sixth in total victories and eighth in winning percentage among active Division I head coaches.
Huggins was a two-year letterman for the Mountaineers from 1975-77 after transferring to WVU. As a senior captain, he led WVU to an 18-11 record while earning team MVP honors. He was also a two-time Academic All-American, at WVU, graduating magna cum laude in 1977. He also earned a graduate degree from West Virginia in health administration in 1978.
