After the fall signing period in November 2008,the recruiting publication Hoop Scoop called Marquette’s 2009 recruiting class the 2nd best behind North Carolina. This April,after Marquette signed 6-2" combo guard Darius Johnson-Odom, Hoop Scoop placed Marquette at the top for 2009.
