"It was just the best fit overall," Ro Russell, coach of Cadougan's AAU team, Grassroots Canada told the paper. "It was an opportunity to play right away, and he's always wanted to play in the Big East. (Assistant) Tony Benford did a really good job recruiting him, and Coach Buzz (Williams) seems to have the kind of enthusiasm and passion for the game that Junior likes a head coach to have.
In a recent article, Marquette Hoops staff reporter George Glass wrote that Cadougan was sturdy 6-foot-1, 210-pound point guard, who has helped Christian Life Center Academy to a 73-18 record over the past two seasons, including a 31-10 mark during the 2007-08 campaign.

Christian Life Center Academy coach Carlos Wilson compares Cadougan to current Utah Jazz lead guard Deron Williams in terms of his body build.
“Like Williams, Junior has a great feel for the game as a point guard,” Wilson said. “He is able to distribute the ball to his teammates and get them the ball in the right positions. He can also score and picks his moments. He’s the kind of kid who can go out and score eight points in the fourth period to nail down a victory. He goes with the flow of the game and is a winner.
