NEWARK, N.J. – Marquette ended a two game losing streak by beating Seton Hall 89-64. The No 25 ranked Golden Eagles were led by Lazar Haywards 23 points and nine rebounds. Center Ousmane Barro’s inside rebounding and PG Dominic James floor game controlled the game and ignited a transition game which allowed Jerel McNeal and Wesley Matthews to score 14 points Each.

"I was really proud of the way we got to the glass tonite, MU coach Tom Crean said. 'Our players know that they cannot win at home or on the road in this Conference without rebounding."

Seton Hall was led by Jeremy Hazell who had 18 points. The Pirates (15-10, 5-7) played with very little intensity. In the first half, Marquette went on a 15-0 and led SH, 21-4 lead. The Golden Eagles led 40-22 at the half.

Seton Hall's star guard Jamar Nutter was ejected from the game in the second half throwing a flagrant elbow to the throat of Marquette's Dominic James.

Marquette(17-6, 7-5 Big East Conference) now plays No 23 Pittsburgh this Friday at the Bradley Center.
