Time Warner’s Coverage Of MU Athletics Begins This Week
Total Of Nine Men’s & Women’s Soccer Matches To Air Live Or Tape Delayed
Milwaukee – The benefits of Marquette Athletics’ recently-announced partnership with Time Warner Cable are immediate, as the cable channel jumps into production this week with men’s and women’s soccer broadcasts.
Time Warner Sports Channel 32 will feature tape-delay coverage of the women’s soccer match at Green Bay on Sept. 12, and the men’s BIG EAST opener versus Notre Dame Saturday night (Sept. 15) at Valley Fields.
This week’s broadcasts highlight a nine-match schedule slated for the season, which consists of four women’s outings and five men’s matchups. Matt Menzl will handle the play-by-play duties Saturday night for the men’s league tilt against the Fighting Irish.
"This is terrific news for our programs and the fans that can't be in the stands on game day,” women’s head coach Markus Roeders said. “It offers us a great opportunity to showcase our teams and Marquette soccer to a state-wide audience."
All of the broadcasts will also be placed on www.timewarnercable.com in the network’s iNDEMAND lineup. A “Marquette Athletics” link will be added to the sports menu.
