Here are Buzz Williams post-game comments with Steve the Homer True and Jim McIlvaine on AM 540 ESPN.

Buzz…."When you get to this point of the yr.…it does not matter….who is hurt…who you are playing…who is playing good or bad….It is hard to win on the road. I thought over the last 8 days…how we practiced…how we played…there were characteristics that were visible …that is a culture play, a culture stop…a culture basket…a culture loose ball… that there were things revealed…our guys have hung in there…appreciate effort… First time we won 2 in a row in Conference.….all this does is allow us to fight to live another day…if we need to have a chance when we get to NYC, we need to become comfortable to live for another day…that is how it is going to be over the next 34 days…

[Mac…you fought for loose balls and prevented them from getting rebounds..esp. offensive rebounds]

Buzz: "Mac, if you came to shoot around or practice since the day before we played Butler…or came to shoot around, literally we are doing the exact same thing every day…the first thing is rotate…so the charge that Jamil takes when you are beat off the bounce…who comes across and take the charge..or coming down..…I came up with a drill that is an elementary school drill ever….we do it every single day….then we take up space drill…when we grew up it was ‘block out'…need 3 clean rebounds consecutively…no longer how long it takes…need 3 clean stops [a turkey]…sometimes it turns into drama…so we have they have one legit off rebl….

[Derrick Wilson had 7 pts and a solid floor game]

…..so we have 12 offensive rebounds and we limit them to one or two..that is big time…we had 10 turnovers in the 1H…30% of our possessions were turnovers…Why does Derrick play so much?…maybe that is solved now for a while…then in 2H we had 3 TOs….who is to shoot…who is to get back….they had only 3 pts in transition in 1H…the things we had concentrated on we were able to execute….

[Homer…just 3 TOs in 2H]

I told the kids at halftime…A lot of our TOs…were just casual…John dribbling the ball out of bounds…Jake's trying to throw the pass into Davante….don't throw unless you see the #s…Chris just wants to bulldoze everyone down….at end of half, I was playing a scrappy lineup… Jamil bring it up…I was trying to save John [Dawson] with 3 PFs [make a bad pass]….we had just casual TOs… [Sloppy]

[Buzz loved the energy on the bench]

[You were down but came back]

Buzz: "It is the least I have sweated since I have been at MU…I did not lose my mind in the huddle…I thought the effort superb and the energy was great…best huddles off the bench out of timeouts……for sure the best it has been this yr.…Deonte coming into BE play only…his FT% was 53%...they are up 56-50 and he makes 2 FTs back to back coming out of time out but we were getting stops…

[they came back to close it to 62-60…then you ran 15-6 to finish the game…you needed 2nd run]…

I just thought out guys were answering the bell…it is more enjoyable coaching the guys working like this….that is how we have built this…not with the best players or best coaches….I am at the front of the line…we built it because how we work..the passion and how we care…

I think if you make 30 FTs you are going to have a good chance to win…they made 10 threes…that is hard to overcome…I don't know how many of those 10 as a coach you would consider them ‘uncontested'…I think 3 at the max….some of those shots Oliver was making……Gawd Dog…that is hard to overcome…so 30 of their 68 pts..

{You have Xavier on Saturday]

Buzz: "Live to fight another day…that is all…
