2G T.J. Taylor Leaving Marquette

Milwaukee – Marquette University men's basketball player T.J. Taylor has been granted his release from the program, head coach Buzz Williams announced Wednesday morning.

"In TJ's best interest, he has withdrawn from school today for personal reasons," Williams said. "As a program, we are in complete support of his decision and we wish him all the best in his future as a student-athlete."

Taylor, who arrived on campus in early July for the start of class, was in his first season with the Golden Eagles. The Denison, Texas, native was a Third Team All-America selection at Paris Junior College in 2011-12 and attended Oklahoma as a freshman in 2010-11.
